There was a time when I was interested in how human constructed forms such as square fence panels contrasted to with the more irregular natural forms such as rocky outcrops. This led me to create squares and cubes - I find I have moved on to circles.

Where does art live?
Inside of me there is a pre art state, influenced and inspired by the world around me. I try to develop this and move it out - often by creating artifacts and/or experiences.
The public see/experience the artifact and take some of this inside of them.
Connecting with the art but always having a distance with me.
I want to explore and experiment with this distance and try to cover the distance and yet be intimate at the same time.

these are some of the images from an exhibition called Crucifixation. It is a project that explored how the crucified image has been abused and misused, as ornament, fashion object or through false or empty ritual.

The close up imagery enters us into an alternative world. when I was a child I would put things close to my eye and imaging they were really big and I could climb up them - I guess I never grew up.

I am interested in how simple changes, such as moving a stone, can change its character. I am interested in the contrast between natural and made forms.
I am interested in how a language of imagery can form.

This is work that I am currently working on. It is about the way booze can grip you. But it is not just booze, it is thoughts and preoccupations that can overcome one.
